The truth about Gashaamo Massacre
I am Ethiopian myself and I can explain straight away what happened.
A civilian car travelling in the opposite direction collided with an ambulance. The ambulance then requested that the custom officers or taxation men check the other car.
Just about then another car came in carrying khat from SL.
The taxation men are always Ethiopian Habesha.
They then told the khat guy that they won't check his car for registration but he have to pull the other car for them to Gashaamo town.
The guy who had the accident then called few of his friends in Jama Dubad village, which is on the way to Gashaamo.
He told them to ambush the Habasha. They arrived with a bunch of Isaaq miltia of the HY clan armed with rifles. They did that and shot some of them. No one really knows how many died or got wounded but they Habesha fled to Gashaamo. Once they entered the town they went to the Liyuu Police base and ordered them to attack and do their job.
All the Liyuu soldiered arrovered at Jama Dubad village and opened fire and massacred around 70 people of the HY clan of isaaq.
